How the Holy Spirit Hijacked This Pastor's Church Service

Eddie Tate, the associate pastor at Bethel Austin, learned a valuable faith lesson when his normal church service was hijacked by the Holy Spirit. Listen to this recent episode of the Bethel Austin Podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network to get the full scoop on how Tate never got to preach his message because of a radical move of the Lord.

It all started off with one realization. Tate says he "showed up to the church, and I realized, oh, I left my notes from a message at home."

Thank the Lord for the gift of technology and the ability to use his computer for his message notes. But then during the service, Tate says he felt the Lord speak to him: "We as a body really need to surrender in this time."

From this initial word, the Lord began to steer the service away from its normal structure. The worship team went into a time of spontaneous praise, during which Tate heard the Lord say, "You've got to surrender your pride. You've got to surrender your comfort. You've got to surrender the idea that this isn't what you're supposed to be doing."

Through this divine encounter, Tate came to understand that "God's not comforting you in your comfort zone."

Listen to the full episode here to get the details of how spontaneous worship turned into prophetic song, and the standard service exceeded heavenly expectation.
