Anyone who hasn't noticed the double standard that is alive and well in America is out of touch with reality.
In her newest book, Rise: In Defense of Judeo-Christian Values and Freedom, New York Times best-selling author Brigitte Gabriel says this double standard—surrounding speech, national security, spending, religion and more—is running rampant.
In Rise, Gabriel arms readers with real data and compelling facts that will equip them to fight the efforts of America's enemies to undermine the nation at every level of society. Rise will also motivate readers to unite with other patriots who wish to preserve America's endangered Judeo-Christian values and freedom.
"Today, even our most fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of speech, are under attack by the tyranny of 'tolerance,'" Gabriel writes. "Free speech is the new 'hate speech,' and the right to exercise one's opinion seems to end where the radical left's feelings begin. Corruption at the highest levels of our government seems to go either unnoticed or unpunished. When the secretary of state can destroy evidence in an ongoing federal corruption investigation only to have her pals at the FBI cover for her, we do not have rule of law; we have anarchy. When an outgoing presidential administration can weaponize the justice department and intelligence agencies to attack a candidate from an opposition party even after he has left office, we do not have rule of law; we have anarchy. Those who choose to put their lives on the line to defend this nation and enforce its laws as their patriotic and civic duty are rewarded with mockery, disrespect and slander from its citizens. Among the audacious are professional athletes who view kneeling for the national anthem as some sort of warped heroism.
"The media spreads falsehoods about the American police officer, seeking to inflame racial tensions between black and white at almost every turn," she continues. "Of course, this only takes place when they're not spreading fake news stories about Russia colluding with President Trump to rig the election. Elected officials seem particularly generous spending your tax dollars on welfare programs for unvetted Islamic refugees and newly arrived immigrants, many of whom do not respect our nation or the values it embodies. Worst of all, our enemies seem to be as united as we are divided. While many radical Islamists from all across the globe have been flocking to join the Islamic caliphate known as ISIS, others, inspired by their progress, have chosen to wage war from right outside their Western backyards."
Foolishly, Gabriel adds, many tasked with protecting the nation have refused to take the threats America faces seriously. In doing so, they have endangered citizens in the name of political correctness and "social justice." Parents remain too distracted by their careers, material possessions or modern technological devices to notice that their children are being taught in their classes to hate this nation, those who founded it and even the very principles upon which it was founded.
In Rise, Gabriel informs Americans about why all this should matter to them. The author helps them draw the battle plan for what they can do before it's too late. Out on Sept. 11, Rise will also reveal alarming evidence to open readers' eyes regarding the imminent threat and ever-widening plot to destroy America's long-enjoyed freedoms.
Rise contains Gabriel's most hard-hitting, explosive message yet. It's not only a warning but also a rallying cry to unite Americans of all backgrounds in a fight for the survival of the nation, the protection of the Judeo-Christian values upon which it was built, and the preservation of the freedoms on which future generations depend.
In the 10 years since her groundbreaking first book took the world by storm, Gabriel has boldly faced death threats from terrorists, condemnation from critics and attacks from the "PC Police," yet she refuses to back down. Gutsy, spirited, undauntable and resolute, Gabriel now issues a new clarion call to America that addresses the historical and religious basis of our greatest threats to national security.
She started her organization, ACT for America—now approaching 1 million members—in an effort to protect the citizens of the United States from the horrors she experienced as a young girl in her native Lebanon. She is also the celebrated author of two New York Times best-sellers, Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America (2006) and They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It (2010). "RISE" is published by Frontline, an imprint of Charisma House, which has published 14 New York Times best-sellers.
