Christine D. Johnson, Managing Editor
Christine D. Johnson, print managing editor of Charisma and SpiritLed Woman magazines and editor of Ministry Today and Christian Retailing, has been with Charisma Media since 2000. She earned her master's degree in journalism from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a certificate of biblical studies at Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. Prior to starting her career in print journalism, she worked in Christian radio and missions with Far East Broadcasting Company in Manila, Philippines, and with WARO/WWCS in the Pittsburgh area.

Shawn A. Akers, Associate Editor
Shawn Akers, associate editor, joined the Charisma team in June 2012, fulfilling a dream to use his talents for the Lord. He started his journalism career at 15 and worked at several small newspapers as a sports writer and editor. He worked in the NASCAR industry for the sanctioning body and its sister company, International Speedway Corporation, for 16 years. He is working on his journalism degree and is scheduled to graduate from Ashford University in 2014. His passions include his family—wife Patty of 15 years and children Rachel and Joshua—St. Louis Cardinals' baseball and Alabama football.
Taylor Berglund, Content Development Editor
Taylor Berglund, content development editor, joined Charisma Media in 2015. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2015 with double majors (Radio-TV-Film, English) and a 4.0 GPA. While at university, he was student president of His House Christian Fellowship (2012-15) and UWO Film Society (2014-15). He was also a producer for two campus television series, a writer for three series and an editor for the university's Writing Center. In his spare time, Taylor applies his active mind to rabidly consuming pop culture so he can be prepared for his C-POP podcast (charismapodcastnetwork.com).
Jenny Rose Curtis, Assistant Online Editor
Jenny Rose Curtis is assistant online editor of Charisma Media's print and online magazines as well as co-host of the Charisma News podcast. She joined Charisma Media in 2014 after graduating summa cum laude from Stetson University with degrees in Spanish and Communication & Media Studies. As much as she loves academic study, though, some of Jenny Rose's greatest passions include worshipping Jesus, mentoring young women in her church's youth group and making people laugh.

Marti Pieper, copy editor/assistant online editor, has a passion to read, write, and pray that makes her life an adventure. Her involvement in a prayer project led her to assist Brent and Deanna Higgins as they told their son's compelling story. The resulting memoir, I Would Die for You: One Student's Story of Passion, Service, and Faith became a young adult best-seller that is now a missions classic. She has served as collaborative writer or editor on multiple nonfiction book projects.
J. Lee Grady, Contributing Editor
J. Lee Grady, is contributing editor for Charisma. He was the magazine's editor for 11 years. He has been involved in Christian journalism since 1981 and has faced a monthly deadline ever since. A native of Atlanta, he has been with Charisma since 1992, serving as news editor, managing editor and then becoming editor in 1999. He and his wife, Deborah, have four daughters. Lee has won three first-place reporting awards from the Evangelical Press Association, and his monthly column in Charisma, "Fire in My Bones," has won awards from the Florida Magazine Association. Also an author, Lee's book 10 Lies the Church Tells Women, published in 2000, opened a unique door for him to preach internationally. He has since traveled to 12 nations, challenging the church to release women in ministry and to end abuse and gender discrimination. In his spare time Lee is trying to learn to speak Spanish.
