Arise and Pray!
Cindy Jacobs, co-founder with her husband, Mike, of Generals International, is urgently pleading with believers to band together to pray for the upcoming election so that we may enjoy quiet and peaceable lives.
The Lord urgently spoke to me regarding intercession for the upcoming United States election. The Bible commands us to pray for those in authority over us so that we may lead a peaceable and quiet life (see 1 Tim. 2:1-3). This only comes through fervent prayer for the right leaders to be elected! We must intercede for our president, Congress and the military. The United States is at a cusp; it will become the “city on a hill,” or it will plummet. This is not a time to be apathetic.
This upcoming election on Nov. 4 is one of the most critical elections in our nation’s history because 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 seats in the Senate, 70 state Supreme Court justices, and 35 governors for individual states will be decided upon.
There are an estimated 60 million evangelical voters in the United States; however, only 15 million ever vote, and 24 million are not even registered to vote. These staggering statistics heighten the concern as we approach the election.
Additionally, this election will affect the nation’s domestic and foreign policy. Satan wants to destabilize the Middle East. We need to pray that God will glue together the Middle East. It’s critical that the next president of our nation be masterful in foreign policy. We need a righteous leader who cares about the poor and social justice issues.

God Is Moving
Revival Sparked in Kansas City Church
 Crowds of people run to the altar, a preteen ushers in the presence of God, signs and wonders abound—all marks, observers say, of a revival that has shaken a Kansas City, Mo., church to its core.
Since May 2 hundreds have gathered at World Revival Center in the heartland city to experience the miraculous power of God.
“I can hardly stand up half the time,” said Casey Lohman, 47, a member of the church for 13 years. “It is that incredible. You’re stumbling for words all of the time.”
Senior pastor Steve Gray said he knew something was different in his congregation after multitudes of people began testifying of miraculous healings.
"The doctors could not get it fixed,” said Jim Conner, referring to a “nagging” pain in his lower back. “No one even laid hands on me. The power of God overwhelmed me and knocked me back. The pain was instantly gone."

Christians around the world are being urged to spend portions of their day this Sunday, July 27, fasting and praying for one of the worst human rights-violating and Christian-persecuting countries in the world.
The Worldwide Day of Fasting and Prayer for North Korea is an initiative of the Global Justice Prayer Network. The prayer group connects their efforts to 2 Chronicles 7:14—a Scripture in which God promises to forgive sin and heal a land if the righteous humble themselves, pray and repent.
