We Are Warriors

My generation knows we are fighting a spiritual war. Our goal is clear: We
must win the souls of the multitudes. The unadulterated Word of God is our weapon,
and it is the only thing that can really penetrate the hearts of
the people who are listening to it. The most we can do is be led
by the Spirit to deliver the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to
work in the hearts in which the seed has been planted. It is the
Spirit that convicts people of their sin, not us.
There is no excuse for sugarcoating the gospel and modifying it so that it is more “hip” to the lost. Such modification will only lead to defeat because we are relying on our own intellect
and fail to rely on the Holy Spirit.
We also wage war through our worship. The enemy knows that, and that is precisely the reason why he uses popular music as a tool for his own work. Many contemporary artists pummel the youth with sexual immorality coupled with moral ambiguity. We must combat this menace with ardent worship.
Worship doesn’t simply mean playing Christian music, nor does it mean simply singing along with Christian songs. Worship is an act of complete surrender to our Lord, in which we wholeheartedly give Him the very best of our praise and adoration. Worship moves the atmosphere and drives away demons. It was worship that brought the walls of Jericho down, and it is worship that will bring in the harvest.
