British Prime Minister Theresa May and U.S. President Donald Trump (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters )

When I was in the U.K. last spring and heard people talking about Brexit, I assumed the U.K. would never leave the European Union based on what I heard. One notable exception was my friend, Martin Clarke, who predicted Brexit would win. A successful real estate mogul from London who was helpful in presenting the Modern English Version of the Bible to her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Martin did a previous podcast with me.

A few months later, Martin told me via email that he felt Donald Trump would win the U.S. presidency—long before I saw the same possibility.

Since the election and inauguration, Martin has emailed to me some interesting insight into our election process. Martin sees parallels between Trump's election and Brexit. He believes the U.K. needs America to be strong. He also believes Donald Trump is God's man for the position and that God has a future for the United States of America.

I invited Martin recently to record a podcast. It has generated quite a bit of interest both here and in the U.K. For example, he remarks how Parliament debated banning Trump from entering the U.K. a year ago as a reaction to some comments Brits found outlandish. Now their Prime Minister, Theresa May, has visited the White House with hat in hand, hoping to improve trade with the U.S., and has invited the new president to visit the queen soon.

You can learn more by listening to the interview. If you haven't subscribed to "The Strang Report" podcast yet, I encourage you to do so. I have some interesting podcasts coming up.
