Draw the Line
by Kimberly Daniels
As a child in the 1960s I rode in the back of the bus. I was at the front of the riot lines in the 1970s, when I hit white boys on the head with bricks and dragged white girls down sidewalks near my school. I also experienced serious racism when I was an athlete in college.
I have been called the "N" word many times. I was taught to hate white people, and some of my relatives still call white people names such as "honky" and "cracker." But after I found Jesus, I was delivered from racism. I am free indeed!
The residue of my abuse has dried up at the root, and I am no longer a victim of what I call "ricochet racism." This occurs when the abused becomes the abuser.
Ricochet racism is a hellacious boomerang that grips the victim with pride and makes him think he has a right to hate. When I was saved, God taught me that I did not have a right to hate white people. Jesus nailed all my excuses to the cross, and I moved on.
Now that I am a born-again Christian, I do not consider my race to be my primary identity. I am a Christian first—before I am an African-American, a Democrat or a Republican. That's why I am troubled that so many African-American Christians are voting for Barack Obama simply because he is black.
If someone won't vote for a person because of race, we call this racism. But it is also racism when someone votes for a person because of his race!
Believe me, I would love to see a black brother in the White House—but not someone like Obama, who has embraced humanistic doctrines. Many white preachers are afraid to say this, and many black preachers won't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
I love Obama and pray for him and his family. But as Elijah troubled Ahab in Israel, I will challenge his views because they are dangerous to our religious liberties. It's time to draw the line.
Black Christians today need to put their faith first when they step into the voting booth. Does Obama represent godly values?
We know, for example, that he is an inclusionist. For 20 years he attended a church in Chicago that preaches that (1) Jesus is not the only way to God; (2) there is no hell; and (3) God will allow homosexuals to go to heaven even if they remain in their sinful state. Obama also has defended the killing of unborn babies, even in the third trimester.
He claims to be a Christian, but in his book The Audacity of Hope he calls the first chapter of Romans an "obscure" passage of Scripture. God's admonition about the sin of homosexuality is hardly obscure. It is very clear!
Jesus is the only way to God, and God will surely send homosexuals to hell if they do not turn from their ways and accept Christ—just as He will do for all other sinners who do not trust Jesus.
Regardless of political opinions, the Bible makes it clear: Those who support the homosexual agenda and the murder of unborn babies will be judged (see Rom. 1:32). These were the main issues in the days of ancient Israel, and they are critical issues today.
The pro-abortion movement is tied to the worship of two idols, Chemosh and Molech, the gods of child sacrifice. The movement toward gay marriage is rooted in the spirit of gameo, a Greek word that refers to same-sex marriage (see Matt. 24:38).
How can we vote for politicians who favor these ungodly movements? The Bible says we must separate ourselves from sin and wickedness. God is looking for faithful Christians who will not bow to the gods of this world.
I know what I am saying is not popular, and some people will denounce me for it. But I believe it is time to draw a line.
Believers can no longer make excuses by pulling their race cards, leaning on their lukewarm denominational rules or hiding under the covering of a political party. If we want America to recover, we must repent. We must choose the right side.
We must stand strong for what we believe and hold our ground. We must declare, as Joshua did, "Whoever is on God's side ... stand with me!"

Well said. We continue to pray for this enlightenment to come to His people.
Why are you so sure the McCain is the "Christian candidate"? I don't know that he has been baptized. And as for church membership or attendance anywhere--I am not sure that that has been a priority for him during his 72 years on earth. You mention Obama's church membership--where does McCain worship?
Could the use of the "abortion" issue be a scam to divide the American people?
Based on a book from one of his government employees (Tempting Faith by former Special Assistant to the President David Kuo,)evangelicals were just another group used to gain votes. We were conned.
I mean, how else can you explain why abortions actually increased during the Bush Presidencies?
I can see that you are passionate about this, but you might want to do some real research. Then pray.
Amen!!!
Amen!!!
Thank you, Kimberly, for your courage and forthrightness. You are to be commended. Bless you my sister!
Ms. Daniels- It sounds like you have felled for the okie dok. You probably should endorse McCain in order to stay in "relationship" with the guys who give you speaking engagements in turn line your pocket. White people are voting for McCain because they will not vote for Obama because he is Black. So take your rehetric someplace else because it ain't working here. It does not matter that McCain holds Obama in such contempt that he could look in him in his eyes. He refered to Obama as "that one". You and all your "white" Christians can go and kick rocks.
Responding to anonymous' statement on abortions increasing during Bush's presidency. Simply not true. Don't take my word for it, though. Go to the following link:
http://www.guttmacher.org/presentations/trends.pdf
Also, check out:
http://www.factcheck.org/society/the_biography_of_a_bad_statistic.html
By the way, the first link is to Planned Parenthoods own institute.
Maybe Kim's not the only one needing a little more research?
"White people are voting for McCain because they will not vote for Obama because he is Black." Wow, ALL white people?
I'm white (Caucasian)and could care less about the color of Obama's skin. I even agree with him on some points. But his views on abortion and gay rights are, as Ms. Daniels wrote, diametrically opposed to what my Bible says is the way and will of God. How can you miss this?
Does this mean that McCain is the "Christian candidate"? Not necessarily. But he certainly appears to be pro life and and against the gay rights agenda of same sex marriage, etc.
As for McCain's church membership/attendance . . . what in the world does that have to do with whether or not one is a Christian? The Bible tells us to judge the fruit. It also paints a picture of the body of Christ in Paul's day being known for their love and compassion and forgiving others just as Jesus modeled before them.
Remember friends, it was the religious community, the ones who kept up with the attendance records etc. who put our Savior to death on that cross.
By the way, on an unrelated note . . . I have a close friend from South Africa who is quite amused at black Americans who ALL refer to themselves and other black Americans as "African Americans". He wonders how that is supposed to have anything to do with the color of one's skin? He, and several MILLION other Africans are Caucasian. His point obviously being that - African is NOT a color.
The blog isn't about McCain or whether he is the Christian candidate. It's about the faith of Obama and his stance on some is the defining issues of our time, same-sex marriage and abortion. Kimberly is simply urging people not to cast their vote based on the fact that Obama is black, but based on his political views that are in direct opposition to the Word of God. The personal attacks in the comment section are ridiculous and reflect that you're closed-minded and do exactly what the author begged you not to do - put skin color above faith (and reason).
I will not be fooled again. Today, the third state in our nation has legalized gay marriage--under a Republican President.
Refuse to be used. Again.
Amen! May God continue to use your voice for His Kingdom!
Vote for righteousness! How many of you who've commented have truly spent time in prayer asking the Father who he'd have you vote for? It's not about you or me...it's about being obedient to His voice...caring more about the favor of God than the favor of man
christain or no christian -abamas veiws are not in line with conservitisim and where did they get this [jesus was a poor black man] from? the comment his former pastor of 20 years made behind the pulpit .we have to many people in this country on some kind of government hand out that are going to vote abama [greed has two sisters give and give]
It is very offensive to say that black people are voting for Obama because he is black. Do you recall that Jesse Jackson ran for president in 1988, and he definitely did not get my vote. Actually, he did not come close to where Obama is today. What about all of the white people that voted for Obama and not Clinton or the other Democratic candidates? What about all of the white Christians who support Obama? Did the white people vote for Obama because he is black?
Kim, it saddens me for you to have written this article, because I believed you had revelation knowledge (through a dream that you had) when you proclaimed on TBN a few years ago, "WITCHES ARE IN THE HOUSE, WITCHES ARE IN THE HOUSE!" Evidentally, the darkness must have crept in because you are now in support of the witches. Did you ever take care of the witches in the house? Who else did you tell about the witches being in the Church? Chuck Pierce? Peter Wagner? Dutch Sheets? You have been very quiet about the debacle of the Lakeland-cesspool and you sat quietly by as these False Prophets rose up. Yes, WITCHES ARE IN THE HOUSE and you have been bewitched.
It is sad to see one of the "Demon Busters" be so deceived. Yes, it is true, even the elect can be deceived.
We call ourselves African-Americans because that is our ancestry. That's where our forefathers are from and the lineage from which we came. You see, we are not bastards, we actually came from a source that was good and rich in history. You know, like how we say Asian-American, Irish-American, and even Native American. It is a source of identity for which we have great pride and respect. It is not just a connection with Africa, but it is a connection with the African slaves who were brought to America to help make it the boutiful country that it is today. This country that we love, that we bled for, that we died for, that we even go to war for. So, you see, while you may not understand, it would be wise to ask an African-American instead making fun of something you do not know about. I would guarantee that you know your heritage on both sides of your family, so why is it so offensive when we recognize ours.
I could quote scriptures giving many reasons why I would NEVER vote for McCain-Palin's Bridge to Nowhere. There is major hypocrisy when you look at some "sins" and not others. If we play the game by your rules, neither party should be in office because of their great offenses against God. Come 11-4-08 we will have voted for a new president in this year of new beginnings - and God has already told me that it will be Obama. Because of Bush and the Republicans, the entire world is on the verge of depression. GREED is a sin, isn't it? An unjust war is a sin, isn't it? And the proof to me is how aweful the state of the world is now since Bush has been in office. As soon as he got into office, we get a terrorist hit on our country. Perhaps it was because the Republicans stole the 2000 election and it was God's retribution? Bush was supposed to be a man of God, but it is obvious that on his watch as well as all of the Evangelical Christians who have been praying - mixed with angel worship, astral travel, kaballa, numerology, astrology, new age mysticism - for him, that something has gone terribly wrong. When the nation is ruled by righteousness, the land should have peace and prosperity. THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. I agree with Steve, "Life as we know it will end WHEN Obama is elected." Because I am a part of the Joshua generation, and this is the time of Crossing Over, we will have the greatest 8 years of peace and prosperity in the Promised Land that was given to us. Yes, we are well able to take the land. YES WE CAN!
First, to anonymous above, nice recitation of democratic talking points. Is there anything else you'd like to blame Bush for - like bad weather in Omaha or a traffic jam during rush hour? Just because you say something, doesn't make it TRUE. You disgust me, accusing Christians who pray for Bush of paganism and sorcery. The Bible commands us to pray for those in governmental authority.
I think you, and your friends like the "WITCH" accuser a few lines up, should remember that with the measure in which you judge, you will be judged also. And you will be judged for every careless word you speak (or type), including "prophesies" and pronouncements.
You are blind to truth if you believe God will give us peace and prosperity for electing a man to the highest office in the land who has and will fight for abortion, infanticide and same -sex marriage.
It truly saddens me to see how many within the "Body of Christ" are so full of fear and even terror over the 2008 Presidential Election. What happened to faith? Is God still God, will he change, become weak and powerless if Obama is elected? Weren't Christians told to pray for our nation and its' leadership? Doesn't the Word teach us that no one is placed in authority except it be by God? However, the level of anger and venom being spewed by "believers" is unbecoming and hypocritical.
Remember God has a plan and His plan will come into full fruition. Events will continue to line up with the prophetic Word pertaining the end times. Like the economy, global warming, gas prices and shortages, natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars,as well as the positioning of those who will play a part in eschatological times, WILL take place. It is inevitable and will only be in God's timing. This is certainly not to insinuate that Obama is the anti-Christ.
Instead of reacting in fear, we must trust God and know that the "faith walk" must be real, alive and applicable at all times, not just a "feel good message." These are critical times. We must pray without ceasing and know how to apply God's Word if we truly believe it.
During a time when ministries are experiencing a barrage of moral and spiritual failures, Pastors not sure how to lead nor reach out to the lost asking the questions; are we seeker-friendly or is it compromising, do tongues still exist or are they too offensive, powerful presence of God in our services or will we continue to fool people with the "smoke machine"--"money hungry" type of services?
While we are failing in the fundamentals of the great commission and our beliefs, we are overly passionate about this political race. Especially when we don't even know Gods' will in our own services, are we truly confident that we KNOW which candidate is God's choice?
Remember King David was the least likely of all to have been anointed as King. I am thankful God looks at the heart and the content of ones' character, not the sex, race or physical disposition, as we do. Never would we have voted for David, the one who tended the flock and slew the giant with the crude sling shot, as King. But God the "King Maker" worked out the details.
Instead of inciting hatred, sending emails filled with falsehoods, accusations, finger pointing and fear, masked under the guise of morality and faith, let's pray that God's will be done and vote according to how each of us believes God has spoken to our own heart. Besides, the same God to whom we are fervently praying to on behalf of one candidate, is the same God who will answer our prayers, if the other candidate wins. It's not about the winning candidate, but it is about the victorious God whom we serve, whose hand controls the heart of the King(President)! May the best man to fulfill God's plan, win the election!
Kim
thanks for your courage....as a cracker, I have experienced much racism from african americans including brothers and sisters in Christ...do i hold it against them?
absolutely NOT....many of my closest friends are black and I am often one of the few white folks,i.e. crackers invited to their weddings and dinners....
when someone is for gay marriage and abortion, they are wrong whether republican, democrat, libertarian, green party...etc...
there is no grey line as even ministers say we must have choice...
Choose whom you will serve...
My personal belief is that IF Christians had stood together for candidates who were closer aligned with the bible and teachings, Mike Huckabee would be the nominee on the Republican side and either of a couple of candidates (excluding Hillary or Obama) on the Democratic side and this entire debate would never have taken place.
Jesus commands everyone to pray. Why are you not praying Kimberly? If you were praying you would not be her airing your views. Go get your "demon busting" team together and help the "brother out".
To the Anonymous at 3:22 am, you are right on the money. It is sad that many don't have the revelation you have.
Should the church turn a sinner away and say "the house of God is only for Christians come back when you get saved?" I think we get too carried away talking about Gays and abortion, as if these two issues are the only offences of God plaguing the earth. I’m sure half the people who voted for Bush for those same reasons are regretting their vote including me. He may have had strong values concerning homosexuality, but he has sent the country in a downhill spiral…I want the candidate who is going to build a country that can allow the poor to become rich, the rich to become wiser about their spending, better funding for education and healthcare. Leave sin and religion to the Lord in the end He is the final judge. As someone else pointed out religious mediocrity is what sent Jesus to the cross.
This election is about voting for your values and beliefs. Which candidate's values and beliefs are more in line with yours?
If people vote for McCain because Obama is black and if people vote for Obama because he is black, that is racisim and that is wrong.
Use your head not your emotions of hate and anger to cast your vote.
Kim is right! We, the American public get to choose which direction our country will go in. Don't forget we have 3 supreme court justuces that have yet to be appointed and WHO do you think gets to appoint them? That's right! The president! and guess what? That appointment is for LIFE! And of course the president is going to pick judges that agree with him on the issues. Our fore fathers probably never imagined our country would be in this condition of moral decay or they would have included all these issues in their founding laws and by laws. Where are you people from? I cannot even imagine America NOT being the light of the world but you know what? The Roman Empire probably didn't think it would ever fall either. Abortion is "shedding innocent blood on our land" and there are curses that will visit and are already visiting this land. God's Word is clear in Deuteronomy and very clear about homosexuals in Genesis 18 & 19 and YES America must stand up and bless the Lord and humble herself and pray for forgiveness and we have to vote our convictions and NOT for race or color! and thank God we live in a country where we can vote red or blue~~we just have to vote the "righteousness of God" back into this land in Jesus' name. Oh people please get it.
So I guess the white people are voting for the white side of Obama and the blacks are voting for the black side of Obama I don't think destiny could have picked a better plan. I think we need to vote what's in our heart and leave other people alone. Stop using religion to control people. The christian society will one day be faced to deal with its hypocrisy, because if you judge one sin, and leave out another that makes you an unjust judge. Every body wants to speak for God and use scriptures to trap God and others in a box. How do you know what the plan of God is for Obama. I remember how the leading christian authorites use to pray for Bush and constantly hate on Clinton. Wow what love. I thought the scripture said to pray for our leaders. How come the Repulicans didn't get rid of abortion and homosexually under Bush or any other Repulican leadership. Stop hiding under the guise of voting for morality. I do not approve of the lifestyle of either issue. We must pray and work towards changing peoples heart not making more laws. Laws are a deterent to crimes if you don't want to pay the consequence, But unfortunately people are going to do what they want and you cannot make a law to make them obey. Are there only two issues of morality. These are sins of the person's body and they will pay the price. Those issue are used to play on your religious spirit. How could any intelligent person not recognize this is the Republicans tricks to get more vote. If you don't believe it, why do you think Palin was chosen.
How do you vote for righteousness? Is that like making church people love and treat each other right. I am still baffled at how political we want to be and how unchrist like we really are.
AS A PROUD MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST AND AS A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE. BARACK OBAMA THOUGH QUITE A EDUCATED AND INCREDIBLY LIKEABLE PERSON SUPPORTS CAUSES OF WHICH CHRISTIANS SHOULD CRY OUT TO GOD IN PLEADING FOR HIS JUDGMENT NOT TO COME UPON THIS NATION. DO YOU THINK THE ECONOMY, HURRICANES, FIRES IN CALIFORNIA, RAINS IN THE HEARTLAND ARE NOT GOD GIVING AMERICA A WARNING OF THINGS TO COME IF WE DON'T TURN OF OUR WICKED WAYS? THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD IS NEAR.
CHURCH, ESPECIALLY THE BLACK CHURCH, SEARCH YOUR HEART IN PRAYER. ASK GOD "SHOULD I VOTE FOR THIS MAN?".
ALSO, LET'S STOP BEING THE "BLACK" CHURCH AND THE "WHITE" CHURCH AND LET US JUST BE THE CHURCH! I KNOW THE DAY IS COMING WHEN WE WILL ALL FIND IT COMMON TO WORSHIP TOGETHER AND THE 11 O'CLOCK HOUR ON SUNDAY MORN WILL CEASE TO BE THE MOST SEGREGATED HOUR IN AMERICA. IF WE ARE REALLY SAVED THEN WE'VE GOT A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT REALLY LOVING EACH OTHER. IS IT "I LOVE YOU FROM A DISTANCE, BUT YOUR STILL MY BROTHER" OR "I WILL PRAY WITH YOU, BREAK BREAD WITH YOU, WORSHIP WITH YOU, WORK WITH YOU, SERVE YOU DAILY, WALK THE EXTRA MILE WITH YOU BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT RACE YOU ARE YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD AND THAT MAKES YOU MY BROTHER.".
I LOVE YOU ALL NO MATTER WHAT RACE YOU ARE BECAUSE WE ARE ALL CREATED IN HIS IMAGE!
LET US ALSO PRAY FOR SARAH PALIN, OUR SISTER IN CHRIST, THE ESTHER OF OUR NATION!
1 peter 2:17 HONOUR all men. What happen to love thy neighbor? Is any one speaking on what you use to do or believed in, or what you did once upon as time. Is God holding you to you past or old beliefs. We all can change a thought or a view or an opnion at any given time. This article was truly out of your opinion, not from the mouth of GOD nor from the Word of God. We need to be careful of the things we are saying. A man life is weighing in the balance and christians are attacking on every side. Peter cut off a mans ear and JESUS healed it and told Peter this is not how we CHRISTIASNS do things. If we are going to use the bible as the school master than we should be following it too, this is not how GOD treat people. WE expect to draw the world through this self righteous filth.
Why is it so many christians only become political in presidental elections. If you had all the power you say you have abortion would'nt be an issue nor would gay rights. This country is on it's last leg because of the evilness in high places. Look at MCCains record he is an adulter he cheated on his first wife with his present wife, and Palin had her 1st child when she was seventeen and had to get married. Just because they so called are against abortion and gays you people are going to sell our country up the river by voting for wolves in sheeps clothing. Check yourself before you wreck yourself you person's who can throw the first stone.
MR OR MS ANONYMOUS WHO COMMENTED ON OCT 12TH 2008 AT 3:22AM IS DEAD ON POINT. PERIOD!!!!!
First to Ms Daniels - thank you for your honestly...I'm one of those 'white' girls that got pulled into the alley - was only 12 and scared me till I got saved!
To anonymous - you're very brave with all of your big words and accusations to Kim. You sound filled with hate and racism yourself. Why not let Jesus get into those places in your heart and allow Him to scrape out the hurt and pain that is cluttering your thoughts and opinions.
Once we get to heaven it won't matter to anyone what color we are or what injustices we've had to endure. Right here and now God should be in control of our lives and hate is blocking the truth. Have you checked out Obama and his past and his true beliefs? And the folks he calls friends?? A man is known by the company he keeps. Lets get some righteousness in office or better yet lets pray and seek His face as to who He wants us to vote for.
The rhetoric that has gone back and forth on these blogs since the race for the White House began has been ASTOUNDING to say the least.
I am neither Republican nor Democrat BUT if I had it my way, I'd vote for Mike Huckabee on Nov. 4th. However, with all of the compromise that has infiltrated the Church, I believe that Mike Huckabee was just TOO Christian for most Christians. Bottom line is that we need more godly men AND women (regardless of party affiliation) on Capital Hill, in our court rooms, and in our law enforcement.
Regardless of choice for the next President, know this: God has not changed his mind on His stance towards abortion and gay marriage. The Bible says that it is righteousness that exalts a nation and it is these two abominable acts (along with other forms of idolatry) that has caused America to reach this place of utter moral decay. God will not be mocked, whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Although God was not the cause of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I believe that He used this horrific event to show America what happens when He withdraws His hand of protection from our land.
For those of you who are voting for Obama (regardless of reason)---that's your choice and I have to respect that. However, remember this: Clinton operated under rebellion and perversion (remember Monica Lewinsky) and as the head of this nation, his actions opened the door to the spirits of rebellion and perversion like we've never seen. The same will be for Obama because whatever is on the head will fall on the body---in this case, the nation.
Like someone else said, we are required to pray for our leaders and the heart of the king is in the hand of God. However, praying for the leader, or leaders, who more closely identify to biblical principles is a far sight easier to deal with than the monumental task of praying for a leader who deems parts of the bible as obscure.
Kimberly,
Thanks for a grounded view. It may not be what some people want to hear, but it is grounded in principals.
I am an a American living in Canada. I have lived in many countries, from Taiwan to Canada, and have found that my American principals differ from these other countries. This isn't bad or good, it is just the way it is.
My opinion on the upcoming Election;
Mr. McCain isn't the Christian choice, he is the conservative American value choice.
Mr. Obama is the liberal American value choice.
If your a conservative American, and believe in small government, low taxes, and traditional biblical morality and family values, you should vote for Mr. McCain as he will uphold those rights to the best of his capabilities.
If your a Liberal American, then you should vote for Mr. Obama, as he will uphold the Liberal agenda of the past thirty years. Which is big government, regulation for everything from buisnesses to charities, higher taxes, and liberalized family values (which allow for traditional family values in a christian sense, but make them a minority approach to family).
For bible believing, (bible believing as in Orthodox Jews, Christians who believe the bible is the inerrant Word of God, and Islamists who believe in the Old Testaments views on morality) your choice is clear.
I do not believe that we can force people to choose what we think. My opinion is simply that, if you honestly believe in one way or the other, please do not get caught up in the Media's agenda.
Instead, stand up for your own beliefs and be counted. These two candidates are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of belief systems.
Great article!
PraynMom,
Thank you Apostle Kim for obeying God...Ecc 5:2 states..Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. The Church in America needs to hear from true men and women of God. Just like the prophets of old, these men and women will not be popular in today's culture. All of us should be careful with our words, especially against a man or woman of God. God does not take it lightly to speak evil...He will repay. Again thank you Apostle Kim for being on your face before the Lord and covering our Nation. God bless you and your family.
I say a great big Amen!Because frankly, at this rate if the people continue to be deceived-- one day, maybe not our children~ but possibly our children's children~ will be pledging allegiance to "one nation under Allah" or whatever or whoever they happen to vote into leadership and their god/gods. Keep walking in division and answer to whom you will for your stupidity or foolishness or ignorance or lack of knowledge or ~~whatever you want to blame it on~~"sorry" you will be. Kim is simply trying to tell the Truth.
Neither candidates appears to live by the standard of God's leading. I agree this is about a liberal agenda or a conservative agenda. I couldn't care less about color or gender, but I do care that this country not become any more liberal. Folks, look where we are in comparison to where we were 25 years ago. It is so sad. We cannot continue in this direction.
Yes, I do think abortion is a big issue and is a deal breaker for me in the election. Gay marriage is a big issue. There is a gay agenda in the education system, but we can't teach the "theory" of creationism. As Revelation warns, look from where we have fallen. Someone in a comment insinuated that gay marriage happened on Bush's watch and he is the blame. Please, it is activist judges who override the will of the people.
One commenter suggested we need to have faith and not fear about the election. Faith without works is dead. We must fear where things will go if we do not live, vote and act upon our faith.
Dr. Daniels:
I am so Godly proud as an African-American woman who loves the Lord that there are women of God who are not afraid to stand for the truth as you. God's truth. The word of God tells us that "there is a way that seems right unto man but yet the ways thereof are the ways of destruction". I am so deeply grieved by my African-American brothers and sisters who resort to name calling and atacking every one as racist if your support is not with a Black candidate. This is America the land where God has blessed ALL PEOPLE with the right to choose a candidate of his or her choice. If I choose not to support a Black candidate has nothing to do with my African-American culture or loyalty to my race. Even more spirtually grieving to me is the concept that some of our Brothers and Sisters will continue to support a Black candidate who has proven to not have integrity and demonstrated matters of corruption while in office. It is no different when we make a stand about a White candidate who has proven to be corrupt or who has not demonstrated integrity for a political office. Recently. I read about a group of ministers in a major city who endorsed a Black candidate who is about to go trial for 14 counts of federal indictment. What does this say to the Black Community? No, We do not stop loving the brother in Christ but are the clergy who represent God suppose to excuse such behavior and say innocent until proven guilty because he is a Black candidate? Would this be the case if he was a White candidate? Never was there such a time for prayer for this country, its leaders and ourselves less we go astray and continue to make ungodly decisions that continue to negatively influence our communities. Once again God blees you Prophetess Daniels for your courageous stand for God's truth. As people of God we must love everyone and learn to grow in forgiveness toward those who have offended and hurt us in the past as well as present. I will ask God's power to have me remember you in my daily prayers as one encounters much persecution as in the days of Jesus here on earth as well as the days of the Apostle Paul when you stand for God's truth.
I'm saying "AMEN!!
Sad to say you can't even make the church live right better yet keep sinners from sinning. I do believe we must have an influence but it's by our love that we draw not by force. I understand preaching the truth, but trying to shove it down people throat is another story. Didn't abortion exist before Roe Vs Wade? Didn't homosexuality exist from in the bible. After God destroyed Sodom and Gomorah at some point, homosexuality came back. We see them in the new testament. The truth is that those two sins have existed for centuries and there is no president that can get rid of it.
If that's the case, we should be holding church leaders accountable for the sins in their churches and vote them out if any of their members sin. I wonder since we claim we are voting for morality maybe who ever the moral president is can clean up the immoral church and lets vote for someone that can get rid of all the other sins while we are at it. We see two sins, God sees all sins.
Anonymous,
I understand your logic on legislating morality, and in some ways you have it right. Where you fail to understand the importance of elections is in this. We should offer our lives as living sacrifices, we do not vote for our gain in an election, but the gain in society.
Democracy (as we have it today) wasn't spoken of in the Bible, I know this will rankle most people, but it just wasn't. Consequently, there is no concrete do's and don'ts in scripture in who to vote for or who you shouldn't vote for.
What the Bible speaks about is coexisting and supporting the governments you find yourselves under. The passages speaking about believers civil duties are all very general and hard to say specific things about except for this, we should participate in the governments we are under, as they allow of course.
When you try to mix the Church and civil government you confuse the two. Governments are different than Churches. God has different guidelines for each.
In my personal view, you have to be led of the Spirit when participating in a civil government (no matter the type).
Theologically that means many things and has many interpretations, but ultimately it is how God leads you individually. I believe their are basic principals on being led by the Spirit, but there are also specific things God shows each child of His on what He wants them to do.
In a basic category of following God, as I view it (I'm no expert just a Child of God). Voting for someone who will appoint Justices (there are many justices not just the Supreme Court) who uphold abortions, deny a family the right to know their daughters are having surgeries, make marriage into something it is not, or appoint Justices who want to make new laws, is a dangerous thing for our constitutional based system.
Mr. Obama's opinion on how to appoint Justices was clearly given in his Saddleback performance. He believes the most important job of the Supreme Court is to keep in check the Executive Branches powers, not uphold the rule of law.
As a believer we can vote for whomever we desire, our vote will not condemn us to hell, but I believe voting in a democracy means we have to be informed by a candidates views in order to make a choice that will effect families in a positive way.
The way the Executive branch affects families the most is by the Justices they elect. If a Justice is elected which will interpret the law by changing it to fit his/her ideology it is bad for society. A justice should work within the confines of established law. This is his/her only job, they shouldn't legislate only adjudicate.
I just wanted to post a comment about something I just found out that everyone needs to know on this subject. That is that the US Communist Party endorses Obama. It's true....go to their website and see. Lord, help us!
I say AMEN to this and some of you are wrong we are not not voting for obama because he is black but because of what he is and what he stands for, Personally I feel that if he gets in, our Country is really gonna be in for it. He has even said that when things get really down to it that he would stand by the muslims now is that what you dumb idiots want because that could mean that the war will then be in your own back yard then what you gonna do? What we need to do is Pray and beg for God's Mercy on this Country and repent for throwing him out of everything! Not vote for someone who is gonna stab us in the back!
I think this country is already in trouble and no matter who wins, it will still be in trouble. So many are putting their trust in man. Christians have lost the power of the early church so now they have to meddle in politics to get a sense of power. Let's be Christlike and love the Muslims, aren't they people too. Not all christians are good, not all muslims are bad. What about love, can we cast a vote for love? that is how Christ said the world would know we are christians. The christians are just as mean spirited and hateful as the unbelievers. Wow the president is going to appoint 3 judges, and these judges are going to make people not be gay or commit any other abominable sins. How come the judges there now and in the past have not undo any of those issues. Perhaps the church should repent for its sins and the world will follow.
If I was not a Christian and saw this forum, I would certainly question the faith of all of you who responded to Kimberly Daniel's post. Has anyone offered prayers for the candidates?
Secondly, Kimberly are you on your second marriage? Is your first husband still alive? Jesus calls that adultery. See Matthew chapter 5, chapter 19, Mark chapter 10, Luke 16, Romans 7, 1 Corinthians chapter 7. Those without sins cast the first stone. You said you are praying for Obama. Where are the prayers? Why is your forum closed? These are just questions. Not here to debate, just to speculate. Jesus is the judge He is The Word. The Word will judge all of humanity.
Father, please bring all who choose to go it "their way" to repentance over their dead works. Love is the utmost command. Faith in You is the highest praise. For without Faith it is impossible to please you. How can we clean up another's house, when our house is not put in order? Please cause us to concentrate on cleaning up our individual homes, and then pray that the "White House" gets cleaned up by You. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Thank you, Writing Wordsmith, and many others. In addition, I would like to comment on several relevant issues that no one has mentioned thus far.
So many hold the president responsible. It is the Senate and House of Representatives that make the laws. Whatever political party is in the majority has a higher likelihood of getting their bills voted into law. The president only has veto power.
Someone else mentioned voting what is good for this country, not just for you. I have always felt that way and voted that way. Do you really want socialized medicine? Do you really know how it works? Most Canadians are NOT happy with it. They must wait their turn to see a doctor. It usually takes several months. By that time, many small problems have blossomed into full-grown problems. Some, by that time, are fatal. Those that have the money come to the US or other countries where they can get quick treatment. Socialized medicine in America is bad for Americans, and bad for Canadians, too. Then again, maybe if, because of socialized medicine, we can't get in to see a doctor, maybe we will seek God as Jehovah Rapha, the LORD our Healer, and He will receive the glory.
About the abortion issue--in the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments to the constitution), we are guaranteed the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." If one is not guaranteed the right to life, but aborted instead, how can he or she experience any of their other rights? You have to be alive to experience your rights. The right to life is foundational.
Jesus told us to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves." I believe that the "harmless as doves" part would cause us to be truthful and kind and loving in our dealings. I see a lot of people making rash decisions. People voting for someone because he has a nice voice, the color of skin, etc. Let's also be "wise as serpents." There is a gift of the Spirit called "discernment." Call out to God for it!
Finally, someone said that God's will will come to be. Well, Jesus said to pray that. He said, to pray, among other things, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." This doesn't just refer to a coming age. It's a prayer that God would be king in hearts all over this earth, and that God would be honored as King by those who believe in Him. The results of that are too numerous to list here. Suffice it to say that God wants to be INVITED, by us, into all areas and levels of our society. Also, there is an "IF" clause. IF My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chron. 7:14.
Abortion, gay marriage, anti-Christian sentiment, xenophobia, racism, and sexism have thrived under the "Christian," "evangelical," "full gospel," and "God fearing" leadership of George Herbert Walker Bush II. Bush's lukewarn association with the Bible and all things Christian didn't stop the sins of this world not only because Biblical prophesy promised these times, but because Bush was about as concerned about stopping sin in this country as he was about Hurricane Katrina victims... Ms. Daniels, I respect your faith and all that you are trying to convey, but trying to reason that the purported values of a President will allow him or her to lead more effectively is madness. The Republican party is anti-social services (Community Reivestment Act, Welfare, Affirmative Action etc.) and anti-pluralism ("Don't vote for Obama; he's a Muslim." That one didn't vote for it"). These are not commensurate with the teachings of Jesus, and the hipocracy, white fear, and racism in the hearts of Americans that is disguised by using abortion and gay marriage, among other things, as excuses to vote for John McCain WILL NOT MANIPULATE THE REAL, HOLY GHOSTED FILLED, JESUS LOVING, HOMOSEXUALITY REJECTING, BIBLE BELIEVING, CIVIL RIGHTS and SOCIAL JUSTICE LOVING, PRO-LIFE BLACK AMERICAN CHRISTIANS! OBAMA '08 BABY!!!!!!
I've never seen a time when so many Christians are confused and off-track. Kim has written from her heart, and it appears to be Christians who are attacking her. How can we be this blind? The Word of God says that a time would come when men would call evil, good, and good, evil. It appears that time has come. How about we all allow the Holy Spirit to search the motivation of our heart? What spirit are we of?
To the True Church of Jesus Christ(His Sheep): REPENT!!! If we cry out for "MERCY" instead of "CHANGE", God will turn the battle!
- A Praying Remnant
Daniel 9:3-19
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
Render unto Caesar....
Politics is a dirty business and when we Christians seek to align ourselves with ANY political party we have climbed down into the mud!
We should vote as individuals and we should address local issues as individuals. As soon as there is any affiliation to a political party we get muddy. Don't wait for national elections to be involved.
Government has continued to grow under almost every president since FDR. What should the governments money (our money) be spent on? Guns or Butter? Who should be helped - what is 'trickle down' ?
What is welfare and does the definition apply to well to do as well as poor? We should earn our keep and get help when needed.
Harry S. Truman - Democrat
Dwight D. Eisenhower -Republican
John F. Kennedy - Democrat
Lyndon B. Johnson - Democrat

Every human vessel is cracked. STOP THE FEAR MONGERING AND THE VITRIOLIC SPEECH (Bitterly scathing; caustic). STOP THE HERO WORSHIP.
Only our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus should be worshiped.
I am a born again Christian for over 30 years. Seen a lot in my day. We must seek God's face and not the thoughts of others, that can be bias for (all) kinds of reasons. Even what I've been taught as an interpretation of the bible. Is abortion and gay marriage the only two sins in the bible? What about God hates liars, and those that oppress, Thou shat not steal. Bare false witness, Covetousness, and so on. We must look at the whole picture, as I believe God does (the whole man) Man looks at the outer, but he (God)looks at the heart. Please , I say to you all who read this, first let God be the judge and not the news media and someones interpretation of Gods words. I don't know what either candidate really believes in their heart. I only have heard what others want me to think with them.
I am a 36 years old black woman and I am ecstactic about Barrack's energy and eloquence. McCain is boring and I've heard him concede more than once on tv. That alone makes me want to vote for Barrack, however I will be voting for McCain, because he is against abortion. The republicans refuse to tackle homosexuality openly, because Cheney's daughter is gay! We act as if it's no big deal that Palin's daughter is having a baby out of wedlock. It really ticks me off that the party has lost its edge when it comes to insisting morality across the board! We have children more confused than ever because we have a double standard. We have one party that does not mind killing unborn children(Democrats) and one party that could careless if they starve outside of the womb(Republicans). You have to be willing to give economic support to those who are in need! GOD has already told me who I will be voting for! Both parties have their issues, but it takes someone pretty sick to kill an unborn baby. They are not GOD! If GOD wanted a baby not to live he would have suffered a miscarriage to occur.
I would just like to say that I believe black people who are citizens of the USA are being used. I believe tha many black people are good people, work hard, and have given their families a better life.
Same goes for white people who are USA citizens.
The reason why I believe they are being used lies in Barack Hussein Obama's background. We know he has family that are Muslims, his father was a Muslim and his mother married two Muslims the latter raised Barack Obama. Barack was basically raised in Indonesia until he was pre-teen. While he was there he went to a Catholic school where he was registered as a Muslim. But then when he moved to Hawaii his grandfather introduced him to Frank Davis who was cited by the FBI as a Communist. From there on Barack Obama has sought our Anti American mentors, Saul Alinksky, Kahlid Al Mansour, Bill Ayres, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan,Tony Rezko, etc. All of these people are Anti American and spout the same type of Govt. Communism.
I really do not believe that Black Americans and many White Americans know or understand that Barack Obama does not have Our America in mind, but if you will think about it Redistribution of Wealth is one of the first steps to Communism. Which is an Atheist Government. This is an Anti Christ movement.
And I know that most Americans no matter what their race is Loves the Freedom that we have in Our America.
If we give our country over to Barack Hussein Obama and a leftist Congress, we will never be the same, we will lose our Freedom to be our own person.
Most of all we need to Pray for God's Mercy upon our Land. Then we need to go about doing God's Business and not relent. Then He who is the Chooser of our Leaders will restore our land.
Wow! I am so at the point that I am truly tired of hearing about the mess and I am praying that we get answers. I keep hearing race but what about the christian who think everyone is a Christina one all because they are not killing babies but are destroying lives...
It is amazing how much word we have gotten about this situaton yet I continue to hear the roars of wise men but see foolishness. Now, for me all because someone gives you a hour debate and glimpses of commercials how could one really know one or the other.
I dont need scriptures to beat me up or manipulate me into voting in anymore crooks. When God gives me wisdom regarding the matter. I have already seen what the so called "christians" they are when running for office and when they are sworn in it is like opening a hornets nest. The heart is wicked who could know it.
Both candidates are claiming to be something one way or the other. Yet, what is the different in killing babies and or dictating wars. People still die. Something is so wrong here.
I am not divided at all, I will let God show me not based on race, or any other part of this foolishness. This is serious business.
I heard both candidates say things that are not of the "word" of the Lord, so now what do we do?
Yet, I am not picking a Priest nor Pastor I am picking a President. I heard both sides and guess what I am not that fond of either one of them. All because someone tells you something before a election does it truly means that is who he really is...
I will be the first to say it... I went with that christian business before and it has truly cost this country so much because whether we want to admit it... WE WERE DECEIVED BIG TIME!!!
Are we to continue to be so foolish and choose again because someone "hollers" he is a christian. I will not make this mistake again. WE can be so deceived everytime someone tells us this.
You really dont know who anyone is until they maintain that office OR GO HOME WITH THEM. The truth is that when they get in that office all the christian point of views are gone out the window... This is a subtle deception we fall for every time.
People most certainly died for me to vote but guess what they didnt die so that I can keep electing crooked politicians in office lining their own pockets.
They died that I might have a choice and it still is MY CHOICE! I am not going to hell for the wisdom that God gives me.
I know that we are so suckered when someone starts speaking the CHRISTIAN lingo... but is it really who we want in office?
Everything that glitters is not GOLD!
Dr. King longed for the day when a mon would be judged not by the color of his skin but by his character. This election is about issues. We need to unite as Christians and not be divided by race. We are one race in Christ. I hope we as Christians get more involved in the days and years to come.
I agree that neither candidate should be in office. First lets stop the fighting and trying to push our views and beliefs on others. If you are truly SAVED then you will simply pray for the candidate who becomes president. No matter who is in office, they will need guidance from the Lord and prayers from all Christian SAVED people. Remember people, God is ALWAYS in control. Let's stop judging and START PRAYING OR CONTINUE TO PRAY!!
God Bless You!!
Thanks for your courage Kim. I was in one of my monthly prayer meetings with two of by Christian black brothers this week and we discussed the issue at length. I get the issue of racial wrongs and history in America and the desire to see a man (or woman) of color at the highest office in the land. Personally I'd love to have a black man as President... just not this one. One issue that is not discussed is that if an Obama Presidency does not go very well... it will set back the future possiblities of another black man or woman for generations.
Eric
Well, for starters. I'm so over us Christians looking to the government for what we as the SAINTS are supposed to be doing. Proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ -- and reigning and having dominion in this earth. The President has to govern all people not just Christians; we the Christians are called to be the 'salt of this earth' so it bewilders me that we want the President to redeem lost souls; and yell righteousness from the White House. When we only do so from our church walls. God forbid we actually stand for righteousness; like when prayer was being taken out of our schools. Where were we then? Oh, my bad; we were waiting for the government; because God gave it the Great Commission; not us. Anyway,
Not sure who this lady has listened to; but Obama, not McCain, has said on numerous occasions that he believes he's saved because of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. George Bush proclaimed Christ too; which is one of the reasons we voted for him both terms. But seriously does their confession of Jesus Christ make them perfect and beyond error; of course not; just like it didn't make those who used Christianity as their justification for enslaving a whole race of people.
As for abortion, homosexuality etc...these are moral sins we'll be debating til Jesus returns; and not once has Obama endorsed those couples in the confounds of marriage. Again, the President is governing the entire nation; including homosexuals so get over it. If anyone should take a stance with homosexuals; let's start with us in the church; going there. Again, we won't -- so let's point back to the government. And let's not get started on abortions; because I know too many Christian women who have had abortions...and I truly believe that's an issue between a women and her creator; not some government agency. Just like all the other personal sins we do everyday that no one knows about; it's between us and God. Bottom line..the consequences of all our actions is something each of us have to face with our Savior. And just like God gives us all the choice on whether to seek him or not; a woman should have the same choice over her own body...period. That doesn't mean anyone's for 'killing babies'. Just means, I can't tell someone what to do with their own body. If we as Christians want to be proactive on this matter; why not protest what leads to young women having abortions. Sex! We,like the world; are so very quiet on what leads to abortion; because we just like the world is having more sex than anybody -- we just haven't gotten caught. So many Christians believe God for forgiveness when it comes to Divorce & Adultery (both of which the Bible is very clear about) and both of which are just as rampant among church folk. But when it comes to abortion and homosexuality; we'll harp on that all day. Let's deal with all of them -- we -- THE CHURCH -- not the government.
For those of us; who have donated our money and volunteered our time on Obama's campaign; we support him because of his desire and ability to bring this nation together as a people; and address issues that are important to our family; and our children's future. We're not just voting for him because he's black; but hey, let's be honest; we're glad he is.
Conclusion: When will the church stand up and be the moral authority and standard for what ills this world; and stop looking to the government to handle what was and has always been a mandate for the CHURCH!!!
I'm "white" well sort of redish tanish...yellowish..whatever anyway...ridiculous thoughts to assume we as a "white" group refuse to vote for Obama due to his skin...first its our true King who deserves honor...Obama has dropped that, I can't possibly support him for all the same reasons that have been listed...I, also, first am a christian, If Obama was a christian standing firm for the truths of Gods word, I would be all about supporting him as a brother but he's not...nough said...thank you Ms Daniels for standing up in such a time as this. That we all would be willing...keep it up.
This is not about black or white - this presidential election should be about who is considered the best person for the Oval Office. I am an African American and I am not voting for Obama because he is black, I am voting for him because he appears to be the best person for the job. Among many other things - he appears to be genuine and a one that has a good heart. I believe The Lord can work with someone like that. I am not claiming to know everything - but I believe that The Church is supposed to be praying where gay rights and abortion is concerned and I believe this the reason for the present status of the US. Although I am against gay rights and abortion, I must say that "the righteousness of" this election encompasses so much more than gay rights and abortion. I do not see McCain-Palin as "righteous" - particularly with the sleazy politics games, Palin's abuse of Power in her Governmental position, and other foul behaviors I have seen coming from the Republican campaign - - it just reminds me too much of the sleazy politics that I see or hear about everyday at the political office in which I work - wicked, vile, and just down right cruel. This sleazy politics is also a human killer - just as the gay and the abortionists. If McCain would say "I am a christian" and act like it - I wouldn't have a problem voting for him-Palin ... but his actions, behaviors, are such deception .. if I can't vot for the only other candidate running for president .. I just wouldn't vote. In McCain I see greed, religion instead of relationship, and so many items that represent ungodliness. I don't want a president like that. I have prayed and I am voting for the person that God has put in my heart to vote for - The Bible says, "God looks on The Heart" ... I don't see any heart in McCain. I am not claiming to be an evangelist or anything like that.. but I'd like to think that I know a sincere heart when I see one. I can't vote for someone who can look the American people in the eye and lye when the truth is so obvious. God is God - - but I believe that he (God) would have a more difficult time speaking to the heart of McCain than he would when it comes to speaking to the heart of Obama. I also don't think it's that complicated... God looks on the heart!! I believe that If God's People Pray .. God Will Have His Way!!
I pray for you, Kim, this blog comments are encouraging and disturbing. I weep for how people are using God to justify their choice. I just wish so called Christians would act Christ like. Jesus was not scared to confront those who did wrong. God is very angered by those who hurt the young. Please investigate the whole situation. The media is so Obama, that he complains that the Fair Fox News is against him. Do you want to be Joe the Plumber. Where when you ask a question that reveals a politican true agenda, that the government computers are illegally used to investigate you. Do you want to lose privacy and America as we know it. Yes God is God no matter the President, but GOD requires us to have and USE our responsibility. If you steal, get caught, you will PAY the consequences.. If we as Christians vote for the wrong candidate we will as a nation REAP the benefits or curses or outcomes. NO Matter if GOD is in our heart. Also, if that candidate is bad for this country you will find out too late.
Amen! What a great witness for the Lord to forgive all those who hurt you. God looks on the inside and not the skin coloring. It saddens my heart those who claim to be Christians voting for Obama. Everything he stands for is against God. A lot of the people who are black, are just looking at the skin coloring. Continue to be Bold in your faith. As your family persecutes you, remember God is saying, "Well, done my Child."
I have had the overwhelming sense the last few days that something has been unleashed, and it appears that I am right. I am reading so much hate coming from the black community in these comments, it is so sad. And the comments against President Bush, how is it we have so bought into what the secular media tells us??? The economy does not matter in eternity, but the death of millions of babies and the endorsement of homosexuality does!!! That is why Obama is not the right candidate-what he endorses brings a curse on the land!!! Dear God, wake those up that say that they are called by your name!!!!
I have one thing on my mind always.
I must first clean up my house before I look to clean up someone's house.
Before I met the Lord of Lords and before He changed my heart about a lot of things, I was lost. I thank all those who took the time to pray for me.
I WILL NOW TAKE THE TIME TO PRAY FOR EVERYONE WHO TAKES AN OFFICE to set up laws in this country.
FATHER, I ASK THAT YOU BRING US ALL TO REPENTANCE OVER EVERY SECRET SIN AND HIDDEN AGENDA, YOU SAID THAT WE WRESTLE NOT WITH FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES. FATHER, I ASK THAT YOU REMOVE THOSE WHO REFUSE TO PAY HEED TO YOUR LAWS AND COMMANDS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE TO THE CHURCH HOUSE. YOU KNOW WHAT IS IN THE HEART OF MAN. I ASK THIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND KNOW IT WIL BE DONE ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD, AMEN
I'm fascinated by the fact that so many people respond to this post by spewing venom. Amazingly you don't have the back bone to post your names. You hurl insults and invectives from the quiet comfort of your computers, defending a position that you are not willing to be indentified with. At least Kim has made her stand known and has not hidden her face from criticism. You post anonymously and think that you have done something worthwhile because you have successfully displayed your abject folly for all to see. I continue to pray, and since many of you "anonymous" posters profess to be Christians, it might not be such a bad idea for you. If nothing else, it might help you clean up the spite in your hearts. Just my two cents!!!
Kimberly,
Jude 11: "Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay, they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam."
All across America--Christians are no longer walking according to the Truth in God's Word. Like autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted...for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever.
The Line has been drawn--"Christians" are taking sides--we now see clearly a Falling Away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ like never before in America.
The Lord is no longer 'silent'--but He has called His people to come out from among the spiritually dead in the Church--and separate themselves from those who say the Word of the Lord is not right!
"My people who I have loved openly, cling to my Word, love My Word, take refuge in Me. Stand with Me, fight the good fight. For I am He who delivers, I am He who cares, I am He who will be there for you forever. Trust in ME--your Savior, the Rock of all ages. I have loved you more than you can understand. I am with you to uphold you in this hour. I am so pleased to be your Master and your God. We will be there for you, to uphold you in these times. Do not be dismayed nor discouraged!"
AMEN Sister!
Let's all fast and pray for this year's presidential election and don't forget to VOTE!
May GOD's will be done and may He continue to BLESS America.
May we all put on sack cloths and ashes and repent of our sins.
Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understandings, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct our paths.
I pray that all true Christians will seek the will of God for the elections. It is highly important to let God be our adviser. Remember He tells us to pray for those in authority over us. Not one of these men can lead with out God's help. One of them will lead but let us truly do what God has called the Church to do.
Thank you, Kimberly, for your courage and willingness to speak out. May God bless you and may God hear the cries of repentance from His people of all races across this nation. May He forgive us our bloodiness and our abominations within ourselves and toward each other.

Am really sadden with the hate and judging going on on this pages. I observed in some the hate, prejudice and the ungodliness of some of them that post. All of these hater had forgotten to show the love for those that disagree. We still have the Constitutional right to speak up when we see what others are blinded by charismatics and good speeches, which God always say we must be alert. Beside some of you don't know what the middle east Islamics are saying about Obama and what are they are planing to do to our country, since we Americans are very naive and how easy is to overwhelm them.
They are brain washing youth in their Mosque right here now, paid by the OIL money given to them and the easy way to get in the country. This election is not a joke or sport game. Electing a president is a serious matter, because of the danger we are facing at this troubling times. Those calling themselves "Christians"
and are not voting according to the Bible, they are cursed till the 4th. generation as the Word warned believers. God is very angry that most of these people are NOT standing for the innocent babies that had been murder and tortured with the horrible procedure of abortion. It's pre-meditated murder commited by lust and is sin in God's yes. so wake up all of you that are throwing stones while having a glass roof. It will hunt you the rest of your lives!
Who are U and what truck did you fall off of? You need to know your history. Are you a sister who is trying your best to be white. Well I got news for U. U are black, U will be black until the day you die. I feel really sorry for you, but it's too late because Obama will be the next President of the United States because God has order this man footsteps. Go back to your bible and read. This is the day and the day has come. So you continue trying to be white, you are still the N word. And I will pray for you because you my child is out of touch.
Well, it certainly does not matter anymore what Ms. Daniels think as Barack Obama certainly made President. Paul was a murderer and persecuted christians but he became a great man of GOD. Homosexuality and abortion existed in Jesus days but because we have free will i believe he allowed them to exercise it. So does that mean according to some Pastors that the Blood of unborn babies was on Jesus hands i think not. It does not matter who you voted for Gods will was done so lets put aside our hatred and begin to Pray for our President. We like to say WWJD well he would pray for Barack which is a biblical name see Hebrews 12 interesting scripture. Lets just pray that Gods will be done in PRESIDENT OBAMA's Life.
GOD IS GOD,.AND HIS SPIRT IS LOVE.HE SEES ALL THINGS.HE SEES MORE THAN A VOTE.HE SEES THE HEART OF MEN AND WOMEN.AND I LOVE GODS PEOPLE THEY BELONG TO HIM NOT TO ME. I AM NOT GOING TO JUDGE THEIR FAITH ON A VOTE.YOU THAT VOTED FOR MCCAIN GOD BLESS YOU, YOU THAT VOTED FOR OBAMA GOD BLESS YOU.YOU THAT HAVE JESUS ,WIN THE LOST,BECAUSE ITS GODS WILL THAT MEN,AND WOMEN BE SAVED.THIS IS THE TIME WE HAVE LIVED FOR, TO SEE HIS WORD BE FULFILED.
NO ONE IS PERFECT BUT GOD! LETS BE LIKE HIM! .JESUS IS THE SPOTNESS ONE.WE CAN GET IT RIGHT IN HIM. ALL YOU THAT ARE PERFECT THROW THE FIRST ROCK. YES, YOU ARE LIVING TO BE PERFECT, BUT YOU ARE NOT. IF YOU WERE PERFECT WHY IS IT WHEN YOU VOTED THE LAST TIME YOU MISSED IT, AND NOW WE’RE IN ONE OF THE WORST TIMES WE HAVE EVER BEEN IN, IN YEARS? THAT’S WHY MANY ARE VOTING DIFFERENT THIS TIME, BECAUSE THEY FEEL THAT THE ”PERFECT ONES” MISSED IT.
SO NOW THE NOT SO “PERFECT ONES” FEEL LIKE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO MISS IT THIS TIME. I GUESS THEY DID’NT VOTE ON JUST THE TWO ISSUES , YOU PICKED. I GUESS THEY VOTED ON ALL THE THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. THEY KNEW IT WAS MORE THAN JUST TWO SINS THAT GOD WAS TIRED OF, THEY KNOW THAT IT IS ALL SINS THAT DISPLEASE GOD.
CERTAIN SINS IN OUR EYES LOOK WORST THAN OTHERS, BUT IN GODS EYES, ALL SIN LOOKS BAD EVEN A SO CALLED “LITTLE LIE.” GOD HATES ALL SIN, BECAUSE ANY, AND ALL SIN WILL CONDEMN MANS SOUL TO HELL. SOME MAY SAY THEY DON’T BELIEVE IN HELL, BUT THEY WILL KNOW AT THE END OF THEIR LIFE…(WHAT A STORY TO TELL)
I KNOW THAT A LITTLE LIE CAN DESTROY A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLES LIVES. THAT IS WHAT SIN WILL DO. SIN IS JUST TERRIBLE ALL BY ITSELF. IT WILL DRAIN THE LIFE OUT OF MEN, AND WOMEN, AND DESTROY THEM. YES EVEN THOSE WHO CONSIDER THEMSELVES TO BE PERFECT. HOWEVER THE BLESSING IS TO KNOW GOD AND HIS WAYS.
HIS WAYS GIVE US LIFE AND LIGHT. I AM SO GLAD FOR JESUS. JESUS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR OUR LIFE. LETS DO GODS WORD IN LOVE, AND KINDNESS. STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE CARNAL THINGS, FOCUS ON THE SPIRITUAL THINGS OF GOD. THAT’S WHAT WILL CARRY US OVER. MOST OF ALL KNOW HIM FOR YOURSELF, BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO NEED HIM IN A TIME LIKE THIS! NOT BECAUSE OF EITHER OR ANY CANDIDATE, BUT ITS BECAUSE JESUS IS COMINGTO CALL US HOME. ANY SIN, ANY SIN WILL KEEP US FROM GOING BACK WITH HIM. LET US GET RID OF IT AND, “GET RIGHT CHURCH AND LETS GO HOME”.
GOD BLESS YOU
Well, Praise the Lord, Kim, I am sorry to say I have just heard about you and your comments about Barack Obama. I thank God for you! Continue, continue, continue, to speak the uncompromising word of God. It needs to be said!
God Bless You,
Kristi
I'm so thankful for your boldness and wisdom to back it up!
